Welcome to Rick Santorum’s America

with one comment

There have been many times that I considered doing a “Rick Santorum’s America” post. But I find Rick Santorum so unbearable, and think his positions are so vile and his comments so regularly outrageous, that it never seemed worth the time.

But this one I had to go with.

“One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country,” the former Pennsylvania senator explained. “It’s not okay. It’s a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be.”

So, welcome to Rick Santorum’s America. Where contraception is the enemy of sexual normative behavior as understood by Rick Santorum.

p.s. Rick Santorum, essentially every single woman in the United States disagrees with your insane views on contraception. (“Virtually all women (more than 99%) aged 15–44 who have ever had sexual intercourse have used at least one contraceptive method”).
