a day in the life of Gingrich media coverage.
Newt Gingrich, apparently, is today’s topic at TRC. What does Newt Gingrich’s surge in the GOP primary polls mean? Everything? Nothing? Should Romney be taking Gingrich more seriously than the Bachmann/Perry/Cain phases of the primary process?
I admit, I have no idea. Despite my best attempts to proclaim otherwise (see previous post). But I take heart in the fact that nobody else knows the future either. I was struck today by the declarations of meaning on Gingrich’s fate. To demonstrate, here are four of today’s headlines and ledes from around web, on Newt Gingrich. Starting from the top left and moving clockwise: Daily Beast, USA Today, The New Republic, and The Atlantic.
Take a look:
At least now we all know what to expect.
